The faculty in the Department of Art is a community of highly qualified, professional fine artists fully committed to excellence in teaching, excellence in research and excellence in service. Our faculty makes significant contributions to the cultural life of the university, city, state, nation, and world through research that results in creative activities, exhibitions, public lectures, and other professional activities. We believe that we have a strong responsibility to see that art at The Ohio State University advances the examination and development of humanizing concepts.

Students and faculty are also fortunate to have the expertise and resources provided by four technicians. These professional artists manage our facilities, provide safety training and assisting problem solving in sculpture, ceramics, photography and in the woodshop. The college also has skilled computer lab and systems support staff who are dedicated to maintaining equipment and facilities.

The department office is staffed by three full time staff: an Office Adminsitrative Associate, the Department Secretary and our Fiscal Officer. This group of staff provide all administrative support for the programs academic and research functions.
