Advising
Students majoring in the studio arts receive academic advising in the College of Arts and Sciences Advising Office, located in room 100 Denney Hall. Kami Meighan is the Arts advisor. It is suggested that appointments be made to ensure all students have access to these services. Appointments can easily be made by phone at (614) 292-6961 or by visiting the ASC Advising Center website: ascadvising.osu.edu/programs/majors/art. Advising questions that can be answered by email can be directed to Kami Meighan.
During the first year of study, each major will be assigned a faculty advisor. The faculty advisor is available to offer mentorship as the students make decisions about their area of emphasis, opportunities for interdisciplinary work, and experiences that will best prepare them for success with the program and as they enter their professional careers. This mentorship extends beyond the classroom and encourages students and faculty to engage in fostering a broader creative environment.
